Hi i’m Calypso
I’m an aspiring Graphic Designer in Miami University’s Communication Design program, however that isn’t my only passion. I love art as a whole and would describe myself as a jack of all trades. These trades include traditional art, ceramics, jewelry smithing, 3D modeling, digital art, graphic design and honestly whatever else my hands feel like making. On top of all of this I also play video games and experience life through the unique perspective of a trans man. Being trans honestly effects why I make things the way I do. I like to push the boundary of gender norms with my art. It also inspires me to make pieces that resonate with people like me. My goal with my graphic design is to show people that it could be a higher art form. I want to show people that graphic design could be good enough for a gallery. A big inspiration behind this is Charley Harper. I like to design shirts, advertisements, posters and oddly enough logos.
